Nanda Devi Temple is a famous ancient temple situated in Almora, which is above Mall Road in the center of Almora. This is one of the most famous and sacred temples of Kumaon region. This famous temple is dedicated to Goddess Nanda (Durga). This famous temple was built by the 11th Century Chand dynasty because Maa Nanda Devi was the aggregate goddess of the Chand dynasty.
