Nal Damyanti Tal is a small beautiful natural lake situated in the heart of Bhimtal, which is about 2 km away from Bhimtal. This is a shallow water lake. This beautiful lake is surrounded by natural trees. Local people consider this lake to be a sacred lake. This popular lake is named after the name of King Nala and his wife Damyanti. This is an ideal place to enjoy natural beauty. There are several old houses around the lake, which exhibit traditional Kumauni architecture. This lake is one of the main attractions centers of this area. According to mythology, once Queen Damyanti a dream came to at night, she used to hear a voice every day in the dream, 'can I come in', one night the queen answered in yes. At the same time, a storm came and King Mahal got drowned in the lake. Since then this lake is known as named of Nal Damyanti Tal.
