Hingla Devi Temple is a famous ancient temple located in Champawat. In this temple, Goddess Hingla is worshipped as "Mother Bhawani". It is said about the temple that from this place, Mother Bhagwati the swing (Hingol) was swinging till the last peak, that is why this place is called "Hingla Devi".
It is said that one day, Hingla Devi appeared in the dream of the priest of the temple and told the priest, with his shakti in the highest peak here, the swing is also buried in the ground and as well as in the dream Goddess Mother ordered the priest to make a temple at this place.
The next day, the priest started digging at that place and during the excavation, the priest found the Shakti site of the goddess and the relics of the swing at that place. After getting the remains, the priest established the temple with the legislation.
Since then this place has started worship is known as a Shakti site. The devotees keep coming every year for the Goddess Hingla's darshan. Devotees come to the Hingla Devi temple and experience the supernatural bliss.
Hingla Devi is also considered as the Supplier Goddess. People believe that their welfare wishes are fulfilled after coming into the mother's shelter.

Due to heavy rains in the rainy season, it is a bit difficult to travel of here because of heavy rains threatening landslides.
