Maneshwar Temple is a famous religious temple located in Champawat. Maneshwar temple is the oldest temple of Champawat. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. This temple was built in the 8th century by Chand dynasty King Nirbhay Chand.
With the construction of the temple, the king also constructed the site of "Akhand Dhuna" and simultaneously built a 'Pucca Bawdy' to gather the water of the secret 'Naule' near the temple. Maneshwar temple is also worshiped as Shaktipeeth, and the penance site of the God Karma, Kranteswar Mountain is situated right near to the Maneshwar temple.
Due to bathing with the water of the secret Naule located near the temple, many diseases and disorders are removed along with holy benefit, and devotees attain liberation. By coming to the temple of Maneshwar, the devotees receive spiritual peace and as well as worshiping Shivling, the wishes of the devotees are fulfilled. In the temple, thousands of people visit the Ekadashi fair every year to worship.
