Pandav Gufa (Cave) is an ancient natural cave situated in the Gangotri area of Uttarkashi district. This cave is about 1.5 km away from Gangotri. It is believed that when Pandavas were going towards Kailash after the Mahabharata war, they had stayed in this cave, they performed yajna and penance in this cave, so that they could attain moksha. It is also said that during the trip the eldest brother of Pandavas, Yudhishthar had decided to live in this cave, because his father Pandu had done penance at this place, some even know it by name is Pandu Gufa.

Due to heavy rains in the rainy season, it is a bit difficult to travel of here because of heavy rains threatening landslides.
