Dharali is a small village located near the Harsil of Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand state. This village is about 6 km from Harsil, which is situated at an altitude of about 650 meters above sea level. Dharali village is surrounded by dense forests of pine and deodar. This village is situated on Gangotri road. There is also a famous Shiva temple situated in the village. According to mythology, it is believed that King Bhagirath had done penance to bring Goddess Ganga on the earth at this place. This village is also famous for apple gardens. Due to heavy rains in the rainy season, it is a bit difficult to travel of here because of heavy rains threatening landslides.
