This holy temple is dedicated to Goddess Kali. This temple is considered to be one of the main Siddha Shaktipithas of India. Situated at a height of 8 km from the Kalimath temple, the divine rock is known as 'Kali Shila', where the footprints of Goddess Kali are present. It is believed that gods and goddesses troubled by Shumbh-Nishumbh demons at this place had done penance of Mother Bhagwati. Then the mother appeared and after hearing about the terror of the demons, the mother's body became black with anger and they took a distracted look and killed both demons in the war. The most interesting thing about the temple is that there is no idol in it, within the temple, the devotee worship the Kund, this Kund is covered with the Rajatapat Shri Yantra. It is said that the mother killed Raktabeej near the Kalimath temple. His blood did not fall to the ground, so Mahakali spread his mouth and started licking her blood. Raktabeej Shila is situated on the river banks even today. On this Shila, the mother kept her head. Raktabeej Shila is still situated near the temple even today.
