Nauti is a small famous village, which located just a short distance from Karnaprayag of Chamoli district. This village is known for "Nanda Devi Raaj Jaat Yatra", which is held after 12 years. After the introduction of the Raaj Jaat from the Nauti, the journey goes along with the 'Chantoliyon' (Umbrella) and the dolly. In ancient times this trip was organized by the King of Garhwal. Here Nanda is worshipped as a wedded daughter. It is believed that the goddess Nanda was born to Somya Hemant Rishi and Maina's house. In childhood, goddess Nanda was married to Lord Shiva of Kailash. Shiva Ji lived in his meditation. Goddess Nanda seemed loneliness at Kailash, there they missed her maternal home. Then Nanda was convened a maternal home, After a few days, with great love and enthusiasm, he used to send the in-laws to the goddess Nanda. This organizing of sending in-laws to goddess Nanda is called Raaj Jaat Yatra. According to tradition, Kansuwa village of Chamoli Garhwal is they reach Nauti with Kunwar 'Chausingya Khaadoo' (four-horned sheep) and 'Chantoli of Ringali' (umbrella). 'Chausingya Khaadoo' (four-horned sheep) is the main attraction of Raaj Jaat. The Wan is the last village of the journey. In the number of millions, people come to Nauti village to join this journey.
