Drona Sagar Lake is a beautiful lake located in Kashipur of Udham Singh Nagar district. Drona Sagar lake is one of the famous reservoirs of here. The name of this lake is named after the Guru Dronacharya of Mahabharata's hero Pandavas.
This ancient lake is connected to Guru Dronacharya of Pandavas. It is believed that during the Mahabharata period Guru Dronacharya provided education to him as being the guru of Pandavas. Pandavas had constructed this lake to give guru Dakshina to Guru Dronacharya.
The water of Drona Sagar lake is sacred like Ganges water, which is also mentioned in the Puranas. Drona Sagar Lake is surrounded by temples and beautiful vegetations. Drona Sagar Lake is one of the main attractions centres of Kashipur, which attracts a lot of tourists coming here.
