Pinakeshwar Temple Kausani Uttarakhand

Pinakeshwar Temple is a popular temple located in Kausani of Bageshwar district. This temple is situated at an altitude of 2700 meters above sea level, which is about 8 km from Kausani. This temple, built at a high peak, is very beautiful. Among the local people of Bauraro and the Gewad Valley, this temple has deep faith. This temple was built by Raja Bal Bahadur of Chand Dynasty of Kumaon in the year 1454. Mahadev by pleased and the king gave the boon of the son, which he named Udaychand. Everyday worshipped in the temple. People believe that any person who comes from the true heart of the temple, Lord Bholenath fulfils all her wishes. This temple has a great religious significance. Due to heavy rains in the rainy season, it is a bit difficult to travel of here because of heavy rains threatening landslides.
