Sem Mukhem Temple is a famous temple located in Mukhem village further of the Lambgaon. This holy temple is about 35 km away from Lambgaon. This temple is a famous Nagtirtha situated between Uttarkashi district and Tehri district. This temple is famously known as Sem Nagraja. The beautiful entrance gate of this temple is 14 feet wide and 27 feet high. In which the idol of Nagraj is made and Lord Krishna is glad in the tune of flute over the head of Nagraj. People believe that after the Dwarka sank, Lord Shri Krishna appeared here as Nagraj. In the sanctum sanctorum of this temple is the Shila of Nagraja. The statue of Gangu Ramola's family has been established on the right side of the temple. Before worshipping Sem Nagraja, Gangu Ramola is worshipped. It is believed that Lord Krishna had come to this place for a time, the beauty and sanctity of this place had taken won the heart of Lord Shri Krishna. Then Lord Krishna had decided to stay in this place, but there was no place to live near Lord Krishna, so Lord Krishna asked for a place to stay at this place from "Gangu Ramola". Gangu Ramola used to reign this place at that time and was also the brother-in-law of Gangu Ramola Lord Krishna. But he did not like Lord Krishna, so he refused to give place to Lord Krishna. After many tries, King Ramola gave Lord Krishna a land where he used to was bound his cow and buffaloes. Then Lord Shri Krishna established a temple there, which is currently known as Sem Nagraja.
King Ramola was unaware that the Lord himself has come to him. One day Lord Krishna came in the dream of Nagvanshi King and he told Nagvanshi King about his being here. Nagavanshi King came to darshan the Lord with his army but King Ramola refused to come to his land, from which the Nagvanshi king became angry and he wanted to invasion King Ramola. Even before the invasion, the Nagvanshi King told King Ramola about the Lord and then seeing Lord Krishna's form, King Ramola happened shamed on this deed. After this, the Lord began to be known as King Nagraja of Nagvanshi. After some time, Lord Krishna converted the form of a large stone to the temple there forever and went away for his Paramdham. Even today, the same stone has the provision of worshipping as a Nagraja. In every 3 years, a grand fair is held in Sem Mukhem, which takes place in the month of November. Thousands of devotees come here and Lord Nagraja's done darshan.
