Pancheshwar Mahadev Temple is a famous temple located in Lohaghat of Champawat district. This temple is situated at the confluence of Kali and Sarayu river, about 38 km from Lohaghat. This holy temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. In this temple, Shiva's beautiful idol and Shivalinga are established with Nag Devta. Pancheshwar Mahadev Temple is surrounded by beautiful dense forests. This temple is also known by the locals as named of "Chaumu Devta". At this place, a huge fair is organized on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. Take dipping on the confluence of the river near the temple is considered to be very sacred. Travelling here in these months is the best and enjoyable. During the winter season, the weather of here is cold. Due to snowfall on the surrounding hills in the winter season, the temperature of here goes down very much. Due to heavy rains in the rainy season, it is a bit difficult to travel of here because of heavy rains threatening landslides.
