Bhadraj Temple is a popular temple located in Mussoorie of Dehradun district. This temple is situated at an altitude of about 2450 meters above sea level. This famous temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna's brother Balbhadra. Bhadraj Temple is about 8 km away from Dudhli village towards the west of Mussoorie. This temple is situated on the top of the hill, from where is a spectacular view of the Doon valley, Chakrata ranges and the Himalaya's Jaunsar Bawar area appears. It is believed that the local rural, with his animals, they used to go to this hill. A monster lived on this hill, which kills their animals and was eats them. Seeing this, the rural people went to Lord Krishna's brother Balbhadra, and sought help from them. On the saying of the villagers, Balbhadra went to that hill and killed that monster. After that, the villagers started worshipping by making a temple of Lord Balabhadra here. Every year a fair is organized from this temple from 15 to 17 August. The devotees come to this temple and offered milk and butter.
