Gurney House is a historic building located in Nainital. Gurney House is a cottage, which is famous for the residence of British conservationist Jim Corbett. This cottage was built in the year 1881, which is situated near Nainital lake. This cottage is made from the accessories used by an old house, which is present there at this time. Gurney House was sold to Sharda Prasad Verma in the year 1947 when the Corbett family was left to Kenya. After Jim Corbett's death, this house was sold to 'Sharda Prasad Verma'. Currently, this house is owned by 'Nilanjan Dalmia', which granddaughter of 'Verma'. Corbett's assets are still present in this house, including their trophies, African drums, boats, fishing rods, books and furniture.
