Satyeshwar Mahadev Temple is a famous temple, which is located on the slope of Baurari - New Tehri. There are three small, two mediums and one main temple in the temple premises. One of the small temples is "Temple of Bhairav Baba". The idols of Lord Shiva and Mata Parvati are established in one of the two middle-size large temples, and in the second, the grand statues of Goddess Durga, Lord Ganesha and Goddess Kali are established. Apart from this, there is a huge Shivling in the main temple. This temple was established in old Tehri several years ago. It is said that a local person's cow was do give milk itself daily in the bushes. Seeing this, the person went to that place and found a Shivaling on the land. The person informed the king about this incident, and on the advice of some intellectuals, the king constructed a small temple there. This temple has a great religious significance. During the trip to New Tehri, tourists visit in this holy temple. Satyeshwar Mahadev Temple is one of the main religious centres of attraction in New Tehri.
