Rishikund is a sacred kund located near the Triveni Ghat in Rishikesh. It is believed that this kund was made by saint Kubz. Goddess Yamuna was pleased with the saint Kubz and filled the pond with her water. It is believed that by bathing in this sacred kund, one gets rid of the sins committed by man. According to Hindu mythology, this kund is considered sacred. In this sacred kund, the image of Raghunath temple dedicated to Lord Rama and Mata Sita is can be seen. This sacred kund has a great religious significance. During the trip to Rishikesh, tourists visit in this sacred kund and do the bath. The Rishikund is one of the main religious centres of attraction in Rishikesh.
